This school break, give your kids the chance to unleash their creativity and learn something new with our Kids Holiday Crafts: Repurposing Denim Jeans! Perfect for young makers and eco-enthusiasts, our daily classes will teach kids how to turn old denim into stylish and functional tote bags—or other cool items they’ll love to use. Your kids will explore sewing techniques, learn the magic of upcycling, and create something truly unique. Suitable for ages 12+ It's a fun and supportive class where your children will discover the joy of crafting while gaining valuable skills. All materials are provided, including glue guns, beads, sequins, ribbon, and kids just need to bring their own old jeans to recreate into something new! Your Tutor: Catherine McAlpine is a lady with a totally creative background which includes photography, fashion design and dressmaking. As a seamstress, she has run a local business "The Mistress of Threads" in Darwin since 2015. She is passionate about natural fibres and a sustainable, eco-friendly approach to fashion and textiles. Kaftan creation, re-cycling denim and clothing alterations are her primary focus. Her label, Code Blue Denim represents a life saving act and the restoration of vitality to tired threads! CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
